The Hach™ ULR Sulfite Fluorescence Test Kit provides sensitive measurement of sulfite from 6 - 500 µg/L (ppb) for monitoring chemical dechlorination processes. Used with the portable DR1300 FL Fluorometer, the test enables immediate onsite measurement of residual sulfite to help operators confirm effective bisulfite dosing and protect chlorine-sensitive reverse osmosis membranes.
Accurate residual sulfite measurement helps operators balance two competing risks: too little bisulfite can leave residual chlorine that damages RO membranes, while unnecessary overdosing increases chemical consumption and operating cost.
