Verify ultra-low total chlorine to protect sensitive processes!
Measure residual total chlorine at low-ppb concentrations to verify dechlorination performance and help protect reverse osmosis membranes and other chlorine-sensitive assets.
The Hach™ ULR Total Chlorine Fluorescence Test Kit measures 3 - 100 µg/L (ppb) Cl₂ using the DR1300 FL Portable Fluorometer. Designed for clean-water applications, the fluorescence method provides sensitive total chlorine measurement at concentrations below 20 ppb where residual oxidant can present a risk to chlorine-sensitive processes.
Why measure total chlorine at ultra-low levels?
Protect chlorine-sensitive RO membranes Monitor residual total chlorine entering the RO system to help reduce oxidative membrane damage and support membrane life, salt rejection, and permeate quality.
Detect free and combined chlorine Total chlorine measures both free chlorine and combined chlorine species, providing a broader indication of residual chlorine than free chlorine measurement alone.
Verify dechlorination effectiveness Confirm performance following GAC or chemical dechlorination and identify residual chlorine before it reaches sensitive downstream equipment.
Low-ppb measurement range The 3 - 100 ppb range provides the sensitivity needed for applications where conventional chlorine measurements may not provide sufficient confidence.
Portable measurement Use with the DR1300 FL Portable Fluorometer for immediate grab-sample testing near the process.
Applications Ideal for clean-water applications requiring ultra-low total chlorine measurement, including: • Reverse osmosis feedwater • RO membrane protection • Dechlorination process monitoring • GAC dechlorination • Chemical dechlorination • High-purity and process water • Electronics and semiconductor water systems • Power and steam generation • Pharmaceutical and other chlorine-sensitive processes
